The Women Building Peace Awards celebrates courageous women leading peacebuilding efforts in conflict zones around the world. The challenge was to visually honor these women’s work without defaulting to the soft, floral, or overly feminine design language used in past years—elements that failed to reflect the gravity and strength of their contributions.

I created an "honorific" design system that gave the event a gala-like presence—elevated, formal, and bold. A wave motif served as the foundation of the visual language, symbolizing the ripple effect these women have in their communities and beyond. The design balanced elegance and strength, ensuring that the event honored the women’s resilience, impact, and leadership with visual dignity.
